Murphy Creek K-8 School    Aurora, Colorado*

Located within the existing Murphy Creek Subdivision, this project involved the design and construction of a new 76,000 square foot K-8 school.  Engineering included providing final civil construction documents for the utility infrastructure; grading and drainage; and parking lot and associated access drive design.  Design work also included extensive utility and drainage design coordination with the existing adjoining mixed-use development, golf course, and a proposed new City of Aurora Parks and Open Space development.

William Smith High School     Aurora, Colorado*

Aurora Public Schools sought to develop a facility to respond to the community’s desire to meet the educational needs of students returning to school after a long-term absence. The new 45,000 square foot alternative high school is located adjacent to the existing Pickens Technical Center and includes an on-site childcare center.  Design work included site grading, drainage, and the associated storm sewer system, and the extension of the sanitary sewer and water service extensions.  Additional tasks included the design of the site access drives off of Airport Boulevard and the associated parking facilities, as well as the redesign of the existing entry drive that serves the Pickens Technical Center portion of the campus.

Prairie Middle School     Aurora, Colorado*

The existing Prairie Creek Middle School was renovated and expanded to accommodate additional Middle School capacity needs of the Cherry Creek School District.  The project included all of the site grading and drainage design for the new addition, and extensive design coordination for the utility service lines.  Minor parking lot and bus access route improvements were also involved.
